The Regional Athlete Travel Subsidy Scheme (ATSS) is an initiative supporting regional athletes who have progressed into the high performance pathway of their chosen sport and are pursuing regional, state and national representation.

Eligible regional athletes can receive funding for travel and accommodation expenses directly related to competitions and programs in accordance with the performance level categories and eligibility criteria outlined in the application guidelines.

Please note - The ATSS guidelines have been updated as of 1 December 2025. Please ensure you read and understand the new guidelines as it may affect your eligibility and payment amount.

Important information regarding bank account evidence

The department may require applicants to provide bank account evidence through Satori's OK2Pay system. The system helps ensure payments to our suppliers and payees are processed securely and reach the correct bank account. It protects against errors and fraud tactics like phishing, fake invoices, and social engineering. Satori verifies your bank account details before payment is made, ensuring funds are always being paid into the correct account. Your participation strengthens the security and protects from payment disruptions.

Satori’s OK2Pay is a secure platform with an accredited ASAE 3150 audited assurance report, which means the security of your data is a top priority. Satori utilises bank grade encryption with AES-256 and SHA-512, and leverages two-factor authentication and single sign on to keep both your account, and your data, secure.
